Guenther Chief of Police 847-968-3775 For Immediate Release Mundelein Earns 38th Safest City in the USA Recognition Mundelein, IL – 01/18/16 – The Village of Mundelein recently was ranked one of America’s “Top 100 Safest Cities” by Neighborhood Scout for 2016. The organization’s researchers targeted cities across America with 25,000 or more people, based on the total number of crimes per 1,000 residents. Crimes include burglary, larceny-theft, motor vehicle theft, homicide, rape, armed robbery, and aggravated assault.

We need your help - the winner will be determined by popular vote! 

Annual Aftermath K-9 Police Dog Contest - The winner will be determined by popular vote! 

Our department can win $5,000 towards our K9 Unit from Aftermath.   This award can be used toward creating or maintaining a K9 program, purchasing safety equipment, or funding a training program.  All you have to do is place your vote for our Department. It is quick and easy.  Each person can vote once a day, and the department with the most votes will win! Submit a photo of Titan or the Mundelein Police Department to earn extra votes (both are attached)!

Mundelein, IL—09/22/15—The Mundelein Police Department has been chosen by the Illinois Liquor Control Commission to receive a $3,500 grant to establish a comprehensive educational and enforcement program addressing minimum-age tobacco laws.
