UPDATE - Mundelein Police Respond to a 911 Call

Mundelein, IL—05/06/19 — Mundelein Police officers responded to Ruprecht Company at 1301 Allanson Road, Mundelein, after receiving a 911 call. The call was made at 1:13 PM by a male subject advising there was a man with a gun in the building who was threatening employees. 911 operators attempted to obtain additional information but the caller advised his phone battery was going to die and ended the call. Responding units made contact with administrative personnel from Ruprecht and after learning there were no other reports of this incident, an evacuation of the building was ordered. For safety purposes a search of the building was conducted and employees were allowed to return. Investigators are actively working the case and are attempting to identify the caller. The Mundelein Police Department was assisted by officers from Libertyville, Vernon Hills, and Lake County Sheriff.

Subsequent investigation lead to the arrest of Antonio P. Fletcher (37 years of age residing at 407 E. Hawley #308).  Fletcher was charged with 1 count of Disorderly Conduct – Filing a False Police Report (class 4 felony) and will appear before a Judge at the Lake County Courthouse on May 7, 2019 at 9:00 AM.
