Latino Police Academy

The Latino Citizens Police Academy is part of the Mundelein Police Department’s efforts to inform the citizens about police operations and to develop partnerships with the public. The program not only consist of explaining and demonstrating the various aspects related to the police profession, but will also include other educational topics relating to the ever changing laws as they pertain to the immigrant population.  At the conclusion of the academy, a graduation ceremony will be held and each graduate will receive a diploma.  There is no cost to attend. Graduates are also eligible to join the Mundelein Police Department’s Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association. The Mundelein Police Department Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association is a non-profit voluntary organization of academy graduates who promote and improve community relations, participate in continuing education, increase community involvement, assist and support the Mundelein Police Department.
